Heat-N-Set Low Temperature Moldable Thermoplastic can be easily molded into various shapes from small beads. This compound allows you to quickly customize your tools with a smooth, plastic surface.

Some of our favorite uses for Heat-N-Set are reshaping handles of tools, adding grips or extensions, adding soft jaws to pliers, coating metal strap hooks on neck straps, molding Palm key risers, and coating burnishers. However, there are endless possibilities with this moldable compound. Try making forms for dent work, using it to assist when pulling stuck slides, or in any instance when you need to reduce the potential scarring from using steels tools when working on brass. You can even shape Heat-N-Set into tool holders on your work bench.

Heat-N-Set can be softened with heat and re-shaped again and again!

Instructions:

1. Heat some water to approximately 150 degrees F.

2. Pour the pellets into the hot water. Wait about two or three minutes. The white pellets will turn clear and stick together. Large amounts may require more heat. Don't worry about mixing too much or too little - it's reusable and you can always add more!

3. Stir the pellets gently until they stick together. Remove from the water - be careful! It's hot! Press or knead any remaining water out of the molten plastic with some type of tool (not your hands) until all of the hot water is out.

4. The Heat-n-Set should now be cool enough to mold with your hands. Mold to shape and allow it to cool to room temperature. The opaque white color will return as it cools, and remember that since the outside will cool faster than the interior, some shrinkage is possible.

5. Molded pieces can be softened with heat and re-shaped again and again. Heat-N-Set can be softened with a hot air gun or low oven. It can be bonded to itself by heating the mating surfaces until soft and then holding the parts together until cooled.
