As a silver bearing solder it has a wider plastic range making it excellent for filling gaps.It is excellent for all soft solder applications. The Solder Kit contains 1/2 oz of solder and 1/2 oz of flux. The larger spool is excellent for shops doing soldering work on a regular basis.

Details

Stay-Brite is an excellent solder for musical instruments. As its name implies, Stay-Brite will retain its silver color without tarnishing. As a silver bearing solder, it has a wider plastic range making it excellent for filling gaps. This high strength silver-bearing, lead-free, cadmium-free solder, melts and flows at 430 degrees Fahrenheit or 221 degrees Celsius. It is excellent for all soft solder applications. The thinner wire (1.6mm) is an ideal thickness for working with musical instruments. The Solder Kit contains 1/2 oz of solder and 1/2 oz of flux.

The 1lb spool is the same diameter as the smaller spool in the kit (1.6mm). This larger spool is excellent for shops doing soldering work on a regular basis. We recommend using Tix or Stay-Clean flux with this solder.
