Miniature Brushes
Cleaning, polishing, and finishing tight spaces on an instrument becomes fast and easy with our rotary attachments for Foredom and Dremel style tools.
These high quality miniature attachments are made from various natural and synthetic materials:
Brass - Softer than steel, these attachments do not spark or scratch soft metals. Use Dry.
Steel - Can be used to remove rust and corrosion from non-lacquered surfaces as well as deburring and blending surface junctures. They will scratch lacquered brass and will remove soft solder slowly. Use Dry.
Horse Hair - Soft but surprisingly firm material perfect for cleaning and polishing. Can be used dry or with buffing compounds.
Goat Hair - Very soft. Can be used dry or with buffing compounds.
Nylon- Ideal for cleaning and polishing as well as light deburring. These brushes can be used with a polishing compound and the bristles are stiffer than brushes made out of animal hair.
The recommended speed of use for all of these attachments is below 15,000rpm. Before using on a material, allow the tool with brush to run at operating speed for a minute to discharge any loose wire bristles. Always be sure to wear eye protection with these tools. Eye protection is especially important with the brushes as the bristles can fly out of the mandrel under normal use.
