This solid Conn 6M Alto has all the bells and whistles of the great Naked Lady series without the hard-to-maintain Micro Tuner Neck. When we got this horn it had about %10 of the lacquer remaining so we removed that and left this as a bare brass finish. The engraving has been kept original, and all the other signature features of this instrument have been kept!

This solid Conn 6M Alto has all the bells and whistles of the great Naked Lady series without the hard-to-maintain Micro Tuner Neck! When we got this horn it had about %10 of the lacquer remaining so we removed that and left this as a bare brass finish. The engraving is original, and many of the signature features of this instrument have been kept including the Nickel Silver strap ring! We replaced the pivot screws with stainless steel as well as the set screws with more reliable allen key hex screws for easy maintenece and adjustment.

This unique saxophone has received an Uberhaul with modifications that include Side Key contacts added under the G, side C, and side Bb keys. The F#/Bb adjustment arm was changed to a Selmer Style adjustment arm with adjustment screws for easy regulation.

Adjustment screws were also added to the backbars for both the upper and lower stacks for setting the regulation of B/A to C# key, or F/E to the F# key (your tech will be VERY happy about this). We removed the "Butterfly"style bumper holders on the wire key guards and replaced them with bumper felt sockets on the Low Bb, B, and low C key cups to quiet the keys and to keep the felts from falling out!

It’s set up with synthetic materials, all new pearls including convex pearls in the Bis Bb and Front F, and and G# trill for better ergonomics and smoother feel. The original pearl rollers are in good shape with smooth action. The springs were replaced with nickel plated blue steel springs for a snappy feel and NO RUST! Black RooPads have been installed with plastic resonators.

The most remarkable thing about this horn is the way it sounds. It sings with a sweet tone and that big bass-y Conn sound. It plays fluidly and is perhaps one of the finest Conn Altos we’ve ever had come through the shop!

All of our saxophones come with Pad Magic, Ultimax Key Oil, a MusicMedic.com Microfiber Cloth, a MusicMedic.com Swab, and plated horns come with Tarnishield Strips. No mouthpiece or case included. We do have some older cases, so if you are interested let us know and we'll see what we can find. We recommend purchasing a new sturdy case and can help you find the right one if you would like.

(Clean Oil and Adjust), which is our yearly service plan that restores instruments to a freshly Uberhauled state, and is also a great time to make further personal adjustments or modifications.
