Carbon Steel Binding Wire

A must-have staple at the soldering bench, this soft binding wire is ideal for holding tricky parts in place when soft soldering. The thin .035" gauge reduces the chances of over-tightening and leaving marks or distorting the parts that are bound. It is best when soldering to use the binding wire to hold parts stationary, rather than holding parts together, so that the solder joint will not be under pressure and susceptible to breaking. Simply secure the part by wrapping it with binding wire and twisting it like a bread tie. The manageable-sized roll comes with 77' of black annealed steel wire. Maximum temperature is 300° F.
