3 Ring Neck Strap Ring
Out of stock
The three ring design allows the player to tailor the geometry of the way the horn hangs from the body to suit their individual physique and comfort. It also allows the use of a greater variety of neck strap designs, and allows doublers to quickly change horns without adjusting their strap.
When you have the opportunity to improve an instrument you should always take time to do it. We have been replacing strap rings on instruments for years in our shop, especially on Conn 10M Tenor where the strap ring is in an uncomfortable location for most players. The three ring design allows the player to tailor the geometry of the way the horn hangs from the body to suit their individual physique and comfort. It also allows the use of a greater variety of neck strap designs, and allows doublers to quickly change horns without adjusting their strap.
For technicians installation is a quick process, including removal of the old hook and the re-soldering of the new three ring assembly. These replacement strap rings fit any saxophone, and the ring is much stronger than what is found as original equipment on most brands, giving extra protection against breakage. If you are a player who wants added flexibility for your neck strap position, or likes to jump up and down on stage, take one of these rings to your tech and have them solder it on your instrument.
