NeoBass: Shortened Tube, New Neck (Post 6)
As described in the video you can watch in my previous post, we have cut the tube of the NeoBass shorter and soldered on a new neck. Instead of altering the original neck or fabricating one ourselves, we decided to go with a Gloger neck, because it is already very close to the dimensions we wanted.
This bass is already almost functional. I believe that the tube now has the correct length and the next step will be to change the taper for intonation. We have decided to add three octave vents and locating those is the next goal. Once that is accomplished we will have an automatic triple octave mechanism and what I believe to be the only bass that plays the D.
