Mike's "Big Bell" Global Series Alto
We encountered an unusual problem with this alto that we had seen before with other imported saxophones- the key ends were packed with a material (in this case, composite cork) to give the keywork a good feel. Of course, this "good feel" doesn't last long- there were issues with lots of phantom buzziness and rattles. This issue had several possible solutions, and in this case, we're installing Selmer spring loaded bushings with new pivot screws. We had to drill out the existing pivot holes to fit the spring bushings.
