Once again, the MusicMedic.com Sax ProShop will be heading out on the road to help saxophonists by improving their instruments, and this time, they are also giving a presentation and discussion about a saxophone you don't want to miss!
At the Atlanta Saxophone Day 2015, on Saturday, Sept 12, the Sax ProShop will be setting up their benches and doing repairs at Georgia State University. You'll already have your saxophone at the event to participate, so why not have it checked out by the Sax ProShop team? You can get a free estimate, a free intonation assessment, or have some real work done on site by our team of specialists. But don't delay! Email MattHess@MusicMedic.com today and reserve at time. The Sax ProShop will only be in Atlanta for one day so this schedule will be filling up quickly.
Amidst what will surely be a hectic day of repairs, the Sax ProShop will take a pause from the day's work to give a presentation about an amazingly influential and historic saxophone that they overhauled for Carina Rascher. To get an idea about this instrument's storied past and its restoration, you can read about it here. Then on Atlanta Saxophone Day, you will hear Sax ProShop technician Matt Hess perform some hauntingly beautiful excerpts on this legendary instrument, known as Number 36, Adolphe Sax saxophone. Matt will perform on the saxophone, comparing it to early Buescher saxophones for which it was the prototype, in addition to early Conns, which are direct cousins, as well as modern saxophones from Paris and Taiwan.
No matter where you are, get on a plane, a bus, a boat, a bicycle, or hop in your car and just get yourself to Atlanta Saxophone Day on Saturday, Sept 12, 2015 at Georgia State University!!
